Matrices
Data Management for Community Education in NZ
Matrices is data management software developed
specifically for use by community (adult) education institutes in New
Zealand. It is now being used to administer the community
education programmes in 15
schools. The feedback we have received from these users is
generally very positive, and most have found the software effective, and
very easy to learn and use.
In a nutshell, the database is
responsible for these areas:
recording information about students
recording information about tutors
all information about courses, including session
details
details of course enrolments
payments received, with provision for
discounts, surcharges, and transfers
cancellations and
refunds
generation and
printing of enrolment confirmations, receipts, and refund notifications
generation and printing of
class lists, schedules, and course registers, in a number of available
formats
a range of financial and
statistical summary reports
tutor payroll management
output of selectable
student or tutor records for use in mail merge
